Nimer Rashed directed Run Away to number one on Netflix in 37 countries. As Lead Director and Executive Producer, he shaped the series from the ground up, overseeing tone, performance, and visual language across all eight episodes. His previous credits include Fool Me Once, one of Netflix’s ten most-watched English-language series of all time, and Missing You, which has accumulated over 94 million views on the platform.

He came to directing from the inside out. A child actor from the age of eight, he performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company and appeared in film and television before moving into writing in his twenties.

He received the Sir Peter Ustinov Scriptwriting Award at the International Emmys. Directing followed - first in British television, then at the highest level of global drama. He makes large-scale drama about people under pressure - and what that pressure reveals.

He is currently developing original work for film and television, and is represented by Artists First in the US and Independent Talent in the UK.
